BAM just keeps getting better!
I’m excited about the plans coming together for the Bloggers & Authors Meet-up (#BAM) at #Cru15. Keep reading to find out how to stay in the loop for BAM and for other tech help events and news at #Cru15.
What is BAM Anyway?
BAM is a relaxed time for authors, bloggers, readers, and wannabes, to share advice, encouragement, and to get to know each other when we’re all together for #Cru15 in Colorado. The Meet-up is a great opportunity for authors and bloggers to find support from other writers and also to gain more followers from the Cru family.
BAM’s program is minimal so you have basically the entire time to connect with others or just drop in if you only have a few minutes. We’ll have authors signing books and also book and Kindle Fire giveaways. We’re meeting Thursday the 16th from 4:30 to 6:00 in a room in the new Laurel Village near Moby. It’s an open house, so you’ll be able to come and go with whatever fits in your schedule.
Stay in the Loop for Tech Help and Events at Cru#15
I’ll be using social media heavily to get the word out and to help you know what will be happening at BAM and also any other #Cru15 tech news. (Follow these hashtags: #BAM and #Cru15.) Of course, @CruTweets will have additional news about #Cru15.

Just yesterday, I learned about a number of opportunities that sound great and will gladly let you know more when the details are in place. These opportunities will be posted on e4e’s shared Google calendar as well so it’s easy to add them to your schedule.
The Facebook Event Page
I especially recommend joining the Facebook event. I’ll be featuring writers on this page between now and July 16, so you’ll know who’s coming to BAM. If you’re a blogger or author that’s planning to come, post a link to your book and / or blog on the event page so we’ll know you’re coming and have a chance to get familiar with your writing before BAM.
The Facebook event and the eQuipping for eMinistry blog will have the details (as we get closer to July) about giveaways so you’ll know how you might win a book from one of the authors or a new 7″ Kindle Fire HDX (I have three of these). I’d love for you to be a winner of a BAM giveaway.
My end goal is to help our staff have a bigger voice and visibility on the Internet. I’m doing what I can now to help with web content advice on eQuipping for eMinistry.
My hope is that we’ll also build a strong writers community beyond BAM. How does this sound? “Our bloggers and authors are part of a caring community passionate about connecting people to Jesus Christ through writing on the Internet.”
