Are You Posting about Noah This Weekend in Social Media?

I hope you’ll set aside some time to watch and then share about Noah this weekend in Facebook, Twitter, and/or your blog. I’ll be doing quite a lot of posting. One major reason for that is 2 Peter 3: 3 – 12 (NLT):

Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed…

[The Lord] does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along…

Not only do I believe we are at least very close to the Last Days, but, also, I want to “hurry along” Christ’s return by sharing about this anticipated movie and God’s message of Genesis 6 – 9, and 2 Peter 3, and other biblical references of Noah and the Flood. As more people come to faith in Jesus, His return is more imminent. Will you join me in “hastening His return?”

Resources for Posting about Noah

Feel free to share my posts. I have an evangelistic blog with a bit of content already on it:

This link will open up YouVersion to Genesis 6 to 9. Encourage your readers and friends to download their free app.

This photo and other sharable images from the movie are available at

Former staff, Rusty Wright, makes his material freely available. You can share his post about Noah, or if you are a very busy blogger this weekend and want to simply have him “guest post” on your blog, just follow his guidelines and you’ll have his post up in no time.

Tips for Posting about Noah

If you’re sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or elsewhere, obviously, share links to photos, and blog posts. You can also share links to specific verses on YouVersion and BibleGateway.  Both of these online Bibles have versions of the Bible in multiple languages.

Start a conversation on social media, or with anyone you might be talking to face-to-face, about the movie. We actually will be watching with two of our twenty-something kids and a friend of theirs, so we’re making sure to have discussion time and dinner with them afterwards.

If you use Paramount’s sharable images, include a caption like I did or a mention at the end of your post with a photo credit to Paramount.

All of my posts about Noah on the Sovereign have tags for Noah in Russian, Chinese, Hebrew, and Arabic. Of course, these readers would need to be able to read my English post when they arrive, which they may or may not do. You can make tags like this, too, by using Google Translate to create your tags. I started doing this when I realized many international readers have different keyboards and yet I wanted to reach them.

Please comment below that you’re joining the online conversation about Noah!
