Showing Appreciation for Your Ministry Partners

Wow. It’s been five years since I wrote a popular post, Appreciation Gifts for Ministry Partners. I also wrote part two, Things to Do with Your Ministry Partners, with ideas of things to do with your financial partners to express appreciation and to get to know them better.

I’m updating both posts today for you. I made sure all the links worked.

I’ll mention the updates in this post. Click on the original posts for the actual ideas.

Please add your suggestions in the comments on the original posts. Cru staff may prefer to comment on Workplace where I will post this as well.

Showing Appreciation for Your Ministry Partners

Get to know your financial partners and express your appreciation for their role in your ministry. Most ideas in the two original posts are affordable and will help you think out of the box. Here are my updates.

Appreciation Gifts for Ministry Partners (Part One)

I expanded ideas for homemade gifts and ministry-themed gifts.

I updated the book titles.

I clarified some specifics. For instance, I’ve learned the postage to mail a little notepad is twice the price of the gift. These might be better given in person.

Other gifts, like chocolate and fruit baskets, should be mailed during cooler weather.

I added gift ideas from this article: 20 Unique Client Gift Ideas Guaranteed to Impress in 2023

Things to Do with Your Ministry Partners (Part Two)

MAF plane at Sun n Fun 2015

In this 2017 photo, I’m standing next to an MAF plane at the annual Sun ‘n Fun Fly-in and Expo in Lakeland, Florida. Our ministry partners are pilots in Alaska and treated us to this Expo. We had a fun day looking at planes, learning about their life in Alaska, and watching the air show.  We paid for our dinner afterward.

I’m sure you have some fond memories of things you’ve done with your financial partners.

I expanded the section on air shows and hot air balloon festivals.

I discussed the solar eclipse in 2017. We’ll have another one in the U.S. in 2024. I removed the 2017 information and wrote a separate post encouraging you to visit ministry partners during the 2024 Eclipse.

I went through the ideas, adding to them and making corrections.
