VGA Adapter for iPad or iPhone 4S
You may already know about this adapter, but may not realize how affordable and useful it could be for your ministry. I just checked and it’s currently $29 from the Apple Store.
Would you like to show presentations, videos, and photos from your iPad or iPhone 4S screen using a VGA-equipped TV, monitor, or external projector?
If you have an iPad 2 or later or an iPhone 4S you will see exactly what is on your device on the larger screen; for iPod touch (4th generation), iPhone 4, and older iPads, you are in a “video out” mode and will see a special screen on your device which will help you advance through slides, etc.
This YouTube video from 2010 is still a very useful how-to for using the adapter, explaining what you will see and what some of your limitations might be, especially if you have an older iPad.
You might also need audio speakers, depending on what you’re presenting and the size of your audience.
NOTES:
- Follow the questions and answers by customers in the Apple Store which are listed along with the specific adapters to find the one you need, especially if the larger screen is not VGA-equipped:
- If you’re using HDTV, you’ll need a slightly more expensive adapter.
- You’ll need this adapter for an older TV with the yellow, white, and red connectors.
- If you’re a Bright House Network customer, get their app that allows you to watch TV on your iPad, iPhone, or selected Android devices. Here’s how…
