Well, no, this isn’t a modern art piece. It’s a visualization of geo-tagged Flickr photos taken in London.
The blue shows where the locals took pictures, the red indicates tourists’ photos and the yellow could not be determined. A “tourist” uploads photos in a short time span only and a “local” uploads pictures over a longer time period.
If you want to visit the “real” London and meet her people, visit the blue areas.
Erik Fischer has made over 130 of these maps of major world cities, so if you want to have a ministry to the people in these cities, it might be worth taking a good look at these images.
Just a few of the cities include:
- Barcelona
- Berlin
- Chicago
- Helsinki
- Madrid
- Paris
- San Francisco
- Seattle
- Sydney
- Taipei
- Tokyo
- Washington, D.C.
