Campus Crusade’s MinistryNet conference just started, but it’s not too late for you to participate.
What is MinistryNet?
Every two years, a growing number of men and women, committed to building spiritual movements for Christ, gather to strategize about using the internet for ministry. This year’s conference is in Bangkok. Their hotel and location are not affected by the devastating floods, but I’m sure they’d appreciate your prayers for:
- health and safety (no flooding)
- God’s guidance in the discussions
- Actual 90-day plans to implement some of the ideas generated at the conference
Since the last conference two years ago, mobile phones, iPads, and social media have fundamentally changed the way people communicate and interact, so new ideas and new methods are key to evangelism and discipleship.
The focus at this conference is on discipleship. If you’re interested in participating virtually for all or part of the time this weekend, here’s some info for you:
- the Twitter hashtag is #minnet
- these virtual ministries are represented
- you can also participate by:
- streaming video
- Facebook group discussion
- virtual table discussions
Here’s the schedule (Bangkok time), speakers, and many good seminars.
Sessions will also be recorded so you can enjoy the great content after this weekend, too.
Start tonight
If you’re in the U.S.A., you can start watching tonight, November 3rd at 10 PM EST (check Bangkok time here). Please comment here if you want to participate in some way or need more information.
