Sharing #FallingPlates at Easter

We have an opportunity to reach hundreds of thousands of people with God’s Good News this month. Several staff on the CCCi Digital Strategies Team are encouraging hundreds and thousands of Christians to share the #FallingPlates video with their family and friends during Holy Week.

Have you seen this compelling video yet? According to a press release:

#FallingPlates explains the gospel message in a simple, relevant and compelling way. Various visual metaphors are used to clearly show our relationship with God as it’s meant to be, and invites the viewer to a true and lasting relationship with Christ.

Take a few minutes to check it out:

In just three months, the video has had over 380,000 views. Even now, 2000 people watch the video weekly without any promotional effort. Continue reading “Sharing #FallingPlates at Easter”

Facebook’s First Ad

“The Things That Connect Us” is Facebook’s first ad campaign, which was released , coincidentally, on the same day that we held a social media panel discussion at our international headquarters in Orlando.  The ad campaign began on the day Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg made this announcement:

This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month. Continue reading “Facebook’s First Ad”

First Social and Digital Media Panel at Lake Hart

Alonzo, Matt, Howard, Justin, Nifer

We’ve been trying some seminars at Lake Hart in Orlando. This week we did our first panel. Alonzo DeJesus took the reins, bringing knowledgeable staff to the table to present ministry ideas for using digital and social media for MPD, with students, and more.  Stacie also was on the panel (joining us from Washington state) and several staff from Africa and other locations also listened in through video on Google + Hangouts. Skypleship and International Sports (Guest Post)

Two players from Shannon’s first Skype study, Sidney and Brittany

“I can’t tell you how much I look forward to our ‘God Space’ group. It gives me something to look forward to during the week and keeps me accountable in so many ways. I love that I can be real and receive godly advice from these  women.” ~ Sidney  (Italy)

As a student athletic trainer at Cal State Fullerton, the head trainer lead me to Christ. This opened my eyes to the powerful impact athletic trainers and other sports medicine professionals can have for eternity within their athletic departments. In 1997 I came on staff with Athletes in Action Basketball, as an athletic trainer, with a vision to reach out to sports medicine professionals.

After several years of working with AIA Basketball and taking care of the medical needs of various teams, I started to phase out of my athletic training responsibilities. And then about four years ago, I was left as the sole member of AIA’s women’s basketball. I wondered how we would see spiritual movements everywhere in this sport.

The Lord soon gave me a vision to reach out to American women’s professional basketball players who compete in the European league from September through April. Many of them are Christ followers and desire to use their platform as professional athletes to make an impact for eternity. Continue reading “Skypleship and International Sports (Guest Post)”

Introducing Tanya to Jesus on Facebook (Guest Post)

About 3 years ago I met Tanya through Facebook and she ended up getting involved with our ministry, built friendships with other students, went to bible studies and heard the gospel several times but wasn’t ready to trust Jesus with her life. A few months later, while chatting on Facebook I asked her if she was ready to submit her life to Christ. Continue reading “Introducing Tanya to Jesus on Facebook (Guest Post)”
