Discipleship / Seminary Training on a Mobile Phone

Are you aware of the successful launch in March of cellphone-based distance learning in Kenya, the mLearning Project of our Global Technology office?  A friend explained to me some of the challenges they faced. A phone was available just months before the launch that is affordable for Africans ( about $100).  Almost none of the students had seen or used a touch screen phone prior to starting this class, but almost all students learned to use them within a couple hours. Travelling Overseas? Share Your Computer Skills

If you travel or are interested in a missions trip, you might be surprised to learn how much you could teach someone who hasn’t had as much exposure to computers (even when you might think you aren’t qualified in this area).
If you’re going overseas, could you add a little one-on-one computer training with some of our overseas national staff wives? Are you using social networking to grow your ministry and empower your disciples? … Continue reading Youth + Technology = Change the World

April – May 2011 Shared Reader

The bimonthly “e4e online newspaper” features a great selection of posts from Campus Crusade for Christ staff women and is one of our most-clicked sites.  I usually select up to five posts from the past two months and look for a theme. In this issue: • Leaha gives us a fresh look at faith and fear. • We can know Jesus for who He really is, especially through suffering. • What you could do if you feel “the body of Christ appears so lethargic and distracted?” • Learn about how you can help persecuted Christians. You’ll encourage our staff authors by visiting … Continue reading April – May 2011 Shared Reader
