Remind Me, What Is Indigitous, Again?

If you don’t remember from previous posts, “Indigitous” is a fusion of Indigenous and Digital. These two words were chosen because “indigenous” reflects the goal of locally-generated strategies which will work in each generation, language, and culture combined with the digital tools, resources, platforms, and strategies which will accelerate God’s mission. The conferences come out of the Global Digital Strategies office at Lake Hart and are offered in different locations, making them readily accessible to more people. Five Indigitous conferences were scheduled for 2013 and 2014.

Even if you were unable to attend, you can still

1. Engagement (near Toronto – November 5 – 7, 2013)
2. Accelerate (Panama City – November 20 – 24, 2013 )
3. Connect (Hong Kong – April 10 – 12, 2014)

Indigitous Hong Kong Update

The third conference in Hong Kong was the most recent.  Well over 50% of the attendees were outside of Cru or Campus Crusade for Christ. 105 gifted and talented digital strategists, coders, designers, writers, and filmmakers from a dozen countries and over two dozen organizations, collaborated on several projects in addition to hearing great speakers and challenging content. In two days, they produced two apps, two evangelistic short films (one in Chinese and one in English), and moved multiple projects down the road.
