I’ve had the privilege the last few months of working with Judy Douglass on a new look for her blog, Kindling. She is officially launching today.

Judy and I have spent lots of time discussing and bringing about the look and function of JudyDouglass.com. But all the effort is really an expression of Judy’s heart. She explains why she blogs on Kindling:

The name of my blog–Kindling–is exactly what I hope happens there–together we share thoughts and ideas and start fires in hearts and minds–our own and many others…

And I want God to use me as a fire starter—to be kindling to others.  I want them to grasp how much God loves and cherishes them.  And I also want to encourage and challenge them to allow God to set their hearts aflame…

That’s my dream for this blog—to share my journey as kindling for wildfires that ignite sweeping transformation in God’s children around the globe as true followers of Jesus.

Some of Judy’s main themes on her blog include her personal reflections, lessons she’s learned from her children, challenges to truly follow Christ, stimulating posts from guest authors, encouragement to those who love prodigals, articles about God’s Kingdom Women, and more.

The New Look

Some new features we’ve added are a Google Translate button for Judy’s global readers and a photo gallery of pictures of Judy, Steve, Bill and Vonette, and our many Cru staff around the world.

We’re actually still working on some details, but decided to launch this week.
